More near to me: The word 'eclectic' describes me perfectly. I am VERY selecting in my interests, talents and life experiences. I have a dark spiritual connection to life and the world I live in. I was a certified counselor at one time and have been told that I have a talent despite summarizing people's problems in a clear and simple way and offering common sense solutions and direction. I have enjoyed performing on boards in community theater, mostly in Illinois, and I have an comprehensive theatrical resume. Like I said, I am VERY eclectic in my interests, talents and life experiences! The principally influential person in my life was my grandmother. She taught me to like and live life on life's terms and be an self-directing woman. My grandmother was born in Mexico, came here as a teenager, well-informed English, became a very proud citizen, successfully raised two daughters by herself. She had a wonderful love of life and wonderful values, was my most judicious friend and playmate and lived a full 98 years. My dear book 'Illusions' by Richard Bach says a lot about who I am and to what degree I think and believe. I've presented many workshops using sagacity from the book. My favorite quote from the book is 'Learning is verdict out what you already know.' I also like The Talisman, The Stand, The Course In Miracles, Mysteries, Espionage, etc., etc., etc. Music? I like it every one of! I love Tina Turner, Chicago, Beatles, The Kinks, Devo, Peter, Paul & Mary, David Garrett, Mozart, Tschaikowsky, Big Band, Jazz, Country, Blues, R & B, etc., etc., etc. Like I before-mentioned, I am very eclectic in my interests. Movies? I like everything from Die Hard and Terminator, to Avatar and Star Wars, to To Kill a Mockingbird and It's a Wonderful Life, to Planes, Trains and Automobiles, etc., etc., etc. TV shows? I like Grimm and Once Upon a Time, Blue Bloods and The Killing, Ringer and Homeland, Criminal Minds and CSI. An intellectual first date? Anything that would involve intelligent, stimulating conversation, mutual material attraction and laughter.
